Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 15, 2026

PyBot Labs ("we", "us") builds a browser and app-based coding environment that lets students and hobbyists program a Raspberry Pi Pico W ("Beaver Board") using Blockly blocks or Python. This policy explains what information we collect across our website, web app, and iPad app, and how it's used.

Information we collect

Bluetooth & hardware

The app uses Bluetooth Low Energy only to talk directly to your own Beaver Board — to upload and run code, and to show output on the console. This connection is local, device-to-device: no personal data is transmitted over Bluetooth, and we don't collect anything about the Bluetooth devices near you.

How we use your information

We use the information above to run the service: authenticating you, saving and syncing your projects, tracking tutorial progress, and responding to support requests. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or third-party tracking. We don't run analytics or ad trackers on the app.

Third parties we use

Each only receives what it needs to perform its function.

Children's privacy

PyBot Labs is built for K–12 classrooms as well as individual learners. We collect only what's needed to provide the coding environment (an email address for the account, and the code/projects a student saves) — no advertising, no behavioral profiling, and no sale of data, regardless of the user's age. Teachers or parents who want a student account reviewed or removed can contact us at the address below.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your account and project data as long as your account is active. To delete your account and associated data, email us and we'll process the request promptly.
